STANLEY ONDRACEK DIES AS RESULT OF INJURIES
Stanley Ondracek, 64, died Saturday at Clarkson Memorial Hospital in Omaha as a result of injuries sustained Dec. 26 in a 2-car collision on Highway 15, a short distance south of Schuyler city limits. He was taken to Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment and later transferred to the Omaha hospital.
Mr. Ondracek, son of Karel and Barbara Ondracek, was born April 14, 1903, in Czechoslovakia. He came to the United States when 3 years of age and the family settled in Schuyler. He lived her his entire life since that time, Mr. Ondracek served as Schuyler's police chief for 7 years and was self-employed as a painter. He married Mary Vanek June 26, 1926 in Fremont.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kucera-Rozanek Chapel. Rev. Richard Hovis, pastor of First Presbyterian Church conducted the service and officiated at the burial in Schuyler Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John A. Varejcka, William Urban, John Parolek, Louis Kramer, Jr., Lad Bednar and Robert E. Sinkula.
He is survived by Mrs. Ondracek; 2 daughters, Maxine, Mrs. Ernie Hron of Schuyler and Dalyce, Mrs. Jay Rassmussen of Allendale, New Jersey; 5 grandchildren; and a brother John of Columbus, Ohio.
