A. J. ONDRACEK DIES AT OMAHA HOSPITAL
Anton J. Ondracek, 50, of Richland, Union Pacific section man, died Sunday, Feb. 16, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha. He became ill at work a few days earlier and was taken to a Columbus hospital. he was transferred to Omaha on Saturday.
The body lay in state at Svoboda Funeral Home where rosary was recited Tuesday evening. A prayer service at the chapel at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, preceded funeral rites at 9 a.m., at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Schafer officiated. Military gravesite sites were in Schuyler Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Morris Binder, Herman Schaer, Perry Loveless, Joseph L. Moravec, Harold E. Rhea and Charles Heinsohn.
Mr. Ondracek, son of Anton and Frances Cerny Ondracek, was born in Schuyler on Feb. 8, 1914. He attended Schuyler schools and served four years with the Armed Forces.
Mr. Ondracek and Agnes Ruby Prokup were married in Clearwater, July 19, 1941.
He is a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Last Man's Club World War II.
Immediate survivors are his widow; a son, Myron of Omaha; two brothers, Frank and Stanley of Omaha; and a sister Mary of Aurora.
