John Louis Pavel Rites Conducted
Funeral services for John Louis Pavel, age 75, of Clarkson, were held Monday morning, May 7, 1984 at 10:30 a.m., at the New Zion Presbyterian Church in Clarkson. Visitation was held Sunday afternoon and evening at the Funeral Home. The Rev. William G. Nottage-Tacey officiated. The funeral services and burial was in the Clarkson Bohemiam National Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lumir Vrbicky, Keith Brabec, Joseph Toman Jr., William Kucera, Lawrence Indra and Henry Balzer, Jr. Music was by the church choir.
John Louis Pavel, the son of Joseph and Katherine Jonas Pavel, was born July 9, 1908 in Morrison, Oklahoma. At an early age his parents moved to the Clarkson area; John went to the Clarkson Grade School through the fourth grade, transferred to district 48 east of Clarkson through the eighth grade and graduated from Clarkson High School in 1926.
He worked as a farm hand until the time of his marriage to Ella Loseke of Leigh. They were united in marriage in Fremont, Nebraska, on September 3, 1940. They made their home in Clarkson for one year where John worked for the Prazak Chevrolet Garage. John and Ella then moved north of Dodge where they farmed for about 10 years before moving to farm east of Clarkson for four years. A move was made to Winslow, Nebraska, where John operated a filling station for ten years before retiring in 1972, and he and Ella moved back to Clarkson. John spent much of his time working for Karelšs Store until a heart ailment forced him to quit. He recovered, but more recently in January of 1984, was stricken more seriously. On April 20th, John entered Methodist Hospital in Omaha and on May 2 was transferred to the West Point St. Francis Memorial Hospital. It was there John passed away on May 4, 1984, at the age of 75 years 9 months and 25 days.
Surviving him are his wife Ella; 2 sons, Norman of North P)latte and Adolph of Dallas, Texas, and three grandchildren, Tammy and Traci, children of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Pavel, and Brenda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adloph (sic) Pavel. Also surviving are sisters Rose Havel of Clearwater, Anna Pavlis of Ewing, Marie Bartak of Ewing, Agnes Lueke of Schuyler, Loibbie Loseke of Chambers and brothers Edward of OšNeill and Louis of Clarkson. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Joseph, Adolph and Ben.

VLASAK, FRANK
Frank Vlasak Services Held
Funeral services for Frank Vlasak, 83, Randolph, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the Zion Congregational church near Carroll, with the Rev. Gail Axen officiating. Burial was in the Randolph Cemetery.
Mr. Vl.asak died Friday at the Osmund hospital after a brief illness.
He was born at Dodge, December 25, 1900, the son of Anton and Katherine (Hartle) Vlasak. He married Agnes C. Bailey at West Point in 1929. They farmed near Howells until 1942 when they moved to Carroll. They retired and moved to Randolph in 1977.
Besides his wife, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Orleta) Dowling and Mrs. Ivan (Shirley) Gubbels, both of Randolph; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Rudolph of Carroll, Anton of Randolph, Albin of Greeley, Colo., and Edwin of Cloverdale, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Anton (Anna) Marsoun of Howells, Mrs. Floyd (Olga) Larsen of Umatilla, Ore., and Mrs. Frank (Helen) Heffner of Schuyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

DINKLAGE, LOUIS
Rites held for L. Dinklage, 81
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the United Methodist church of Christ for Louis Dinklage, Cuming County cattle feeder and businessman.
Mr. Dinklage, age 81, Wisner, died Sunday at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Dinklage acquired land east of Wisner in 1925 and started feeding 400 head of cattle annually. The operation expanded to become one of the largest in the state.
Louis also established a feedlot near Red Cloud and had agribusiness interests at Sidney and Fremont, in liquid-feed commodities and feedlots. He was a partner in the Farmers Elevator Co. of Wisner and had other business interests in the county.
Dinklage and his wife, Abbey Faye, organized the Wisner Improvement Corp in 1979. Donations established the swimming pool at Dinklage Park in Wisner and the fine arts addition to Wisner-Pilger High. The corporation also contributed computers to high schools in Cuming county and sent FFA members to leadership conferences in Washington, D.C.
In addition to being a member of cattle feeding groups, Dinklage was twice named Wisner Lions Club Man of the Year. He was the cornpicking champion of Nebraska in 1923.
Dinklage was one of five children of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Dinklage, pioneer farmers who settled in Wayne County ... (remainder cut off in reproduction).
