WALLA, MARY L (MALIHA) [December 6, 1889 - February 12, 1964]
    RITES HELD FOR MRS MARY WALLA
    Funeral services for Mrs Mary L Walla were held on Sautrday morning, Feb. 15, at 9:30 at the Miller Funeral Home and at 10:00 at the Clarkson Catholic Church. Rev C C Kubesh officiated at the church and at the interment in the Clarkson Catholic Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Harry and Richard Fielding, Joe and Laurence Maliha, Leonard and Anton Kucera.
    Mrs Mary Walla, daughter of Andrew and Mary Mlinarik Maliha was born in Colfax County, Nebraska Dec. 6, 1889. She received her education in the rural schools of Colfax County.
    In 1908 she was married to Joseph Walla at the Howells Catholic Church and made their home in Clarkson.
    Following her husbands death Mrs Walla continued to maintain her home in Clarkson.
    Her health began to fail last spring and she moved to Omaha to live with her children.
    She passed away at Omaha Feb. 12, at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 6 days.
    She was a long time member of the Clarkson Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Catholic Guild.
    Mrs Walla is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs Gay (Verna) Fielding of Omaha and Mrs Val (Mary) Duff of Hingham, Mass.; 2 sons, Joe of Council Bluffs, Iowa and James of Omaha. There are also surviving, 10 grandchildren; 1 brother, Joe of Leigh; 6 sisters, Mrs Josie Vrba, Clarkson; Mrs Julia Fendrich of Dodge; Mrs. Emma Cushatt of Denver, Colo.; Mrs Antonia Zrust of Fremont and Mrs Agnes Jedlicka of Schuyler.
