VAVRA, ROMAN JOHN [August 9, 1912 - March 14, 1994]
SERVICES HELD FOR VAVRA
    Services for Roman Vavra, 81, Clarkson were held Thursday, March 17 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Heun. Father Anthony Pluhacek officiated at the 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. con celebrant was Father Walter Nabity. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
    A rosary was recited March 16 at the church.
    Pallbearers were: Scott Vavra, Stephen Vavra, Shannon Vavra, Lad Brichacek, Frank Hledik and Rodney Dostal.
    Vavra died Monday, March 14 at Merrick Manor in Fremont.
    He was born August 9, 1912 to Frank and Katherine Trunec Vavra in rural Clarkson. He received his education in rural School District 61. He was united in marriage to Sophie Dostal Feb. 10, 1942 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tabor.
    He wife preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 1991.
    Survivors include a daughter, Janet Vavra of Ann Arbor, MI; son and daughter-in-law Duane and Phyllis Vavra of Columbus; three grandsons; a granddaughter and great-grandson.
    He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
