DOSTAL, BESSIE SEMERAD [August 26, 1887 - June 13, 1960]
FUNERAL RITES ON WEDNESDAY... FOR MRS. AMOS DOSTAL
Mrs. Bessie Dostal, 72, died June 13 at the Schuyler hospital following an operation.
She was born in Colfax county on August 26, 1887, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Semerad, Sr. (nee Frances Kadlecek).
On November 25, 1912 Bessie Semerad and Amos Dostal were married at St. Wenceslaus church in Dodge. They lived on a farm and on February 5, 1951, Mr. Dostal fell into eternal sleep. In 1953 Mrs. Dostal took up her residence in Howells.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Prucha Funeral Home with requiem mass at St. Mary church at Tabor, Father Vaclav Kovar officiating.
Pall bearers were Adolph Brichacek, Ed Semerad, Elmer Dostal, Louis Semerad, Lambert Dostal and Herman Dostal.
Mourning the loss of their mother is one daughter Sophia (Mrs. Roman Vavra) of Clarkson and a son, Emil S. Dostal of Howells. Four grandchildren are among the survivors.
Mr. Joseph Semerad of Howells and Mrs. Mary Brichacek of Dodge are brother and sister of the deceased.
Mrs. Dostal was preceded in death by her parents, one infant child, a sister Rose, and a sister Agnes Mrs. John Bobisud.
