Phyllis Kosch Services Held Here July 13

Services for Mrs. Paul (Phyllis) Kosch, 69, were conducted Wednesday morning, July 13, from St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. A. J. Lisko officiating.  Mrs. Kosch died Monday, July 11, at the Butler County Hospital following and extensive illness.   Music was provided by Dan and Zita Hook. Pallbearers were Donald P. Dworak, Tony Dworak, Pat Schlentz, John Pl. Perkins, Jim Norton and L. D. Snell.  Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Among those attending the services were relatives from Los Angeles, Calif., Loveland, Colo., Kimball and Scottsbluff.  Phyllis Marie, the daughter of John W. and Matilda (Kovar) Schlentz, was born Oct. 29, 1913, at David City where she resided all of her life. She graduated from David City High School in 1931.   On June18, 1936, she and Paul A. Kosch were united in marriage here. Three daughters were born to this Union.  Mrs. Kosch was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the David City Public Library board, P.C.C.W and Catholic Daughters.  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Don (Judy) Dworak of Columbus, Mrs. Skip (Jane) Trowbridge of David City and Mrs. Charles (Janet) Jura of Columbus; five grandchildren, Don P. and Tony Dworak, Matthew Trowbridge, Graham and Neely Jura; and two brothers, Francis Schlentz of ins Angeles, Calif., and Philip Schlentz of David City.  Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.

Services Held For Victor (Vic) Kovar

Services for Victor J. Kovar of 317 E. Bismark, Grand Island were conducted Monday morning, Oct. 25, from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island, with the Rev. Thomas Reimers officiating. Burial was at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island. Mr. Kovar 63, died Friday, Oct. 9, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.  Victor J. Kovar, the son James and Mary (Cemper) Kovar, was born Nov.17, 1928, at Bruno. He was raised and received his education at David City, graduating from David City High School.  He was united in marriage to JoAnn Steiner on Sept. 19, 1957, at Bellwood.  Two sons were born to this union.  He served in the U.S. Army from Nov.14, 1950, to Oct. 29,1952. Following his military duty he returned to David City.  Following their marriage, they moved to Wichita, Kans., where Mr. Kovar worked for the Boeing Corporation for one year before returning to David City in 1958. He was employed by the Davis Chevrolet Co. of David City.  They moved to Grand Island in 1968 where he worked for Kinsmans Chev., which later became Hamilton Chevrolet.  He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Eagles, the Platt Duetsche and the VFW.  Survivors include his sons, Kevin and Kent both of Grand Island; a grandson, Matthew, his mother, Mary Kovar and a brother, Richard Kovar, both of David City.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Kovar.

Audrey J. Kreizinger 1923-1994

Services for Audrey J. Kreizinger of Bellwood were conducted Monday afternoon, Nov.21, from Bellwood United Methodist Church. Mr. Kreizinger, 71, died Friday, Nov .18, at the Butler County Health Care Center.  Pastor Mike Conner officiated at the services. Music was furnished by Pat Mick, soloist accompanied by Peg Piller, organist. Members of American Legion Post No. 327, Bellwood, attended in a body.  Pallbearers were Wayne Wondercheck, Jack Romshek, Robert Wilson, Jack SeIzer, Harry Lee Wilson and Robert R. Bell. Honorary pallbearers were Don Wondercheck, Adolf Navrkal, Robert Trofholz, Darold Napier, Tony Hiller, Glenn Forre and Ray Diekey. Burial was in the David City Cemetery.   Audrey J. Kreizinger, the son of Joseph W. and Molly (Meinyer) Kreizinger, was born Feb. 4, 1923, at Bellwood. He was a graduate of Bellwood High School and received a two-year certificate from the University of Nebraska.  On Sept. 4, 1946, he was united in marriage to Delores E. Schmit at Columbus.  Two sons were born to this union.  A retired farmer, he lived on a farm west of Bellwood.  He was a member of the Bellwood Methodist Church, where he served as a board member. He was a past member of the Butler County Board of Supervisors, a member of the Alexis Township board, a member of Consumer Co-op board; a member of the Bellwood Fire Department; a member of the Bellwood Legion Post No.327; a member of the VFW, a District No.13, school board member, a member of the Livestock Feeders Assoc. and a member of the Butler County Hospital. board. He was soloist at numerous religious and social functions and was active in organizing and coaching Little League baseball.  A World War II veteran , he served from 1943 to 1945 in the U.S. Army, with a tour of duty in the European Theatre in the 87th Blackhawk Division.  He is survived by his wife, Delores E. Kreizinger, Bellwood; a son, Joe of Norfolk and a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Marlene of Loveland, Colo. and a grandson, Ryan J. Kreizinger of Loveland, Colo.  His parents and two grandchildren, Michael and Jill Kreizinger preceded him in death.

Mrs. Caroline Kreizinger Funeral Services Held Here Thursday Morning

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline C. Kreizinger, 90, of David City were conducted Thursday morning, Dec. 24, from St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City, with Msgr. A. J. Lisko officiating. Mrs. Kreizinger died Tuesday, Dec. 22, at St. Joseph's Villa where she has been a gurst for several years.  The Parish P.C.C.W. attended the services in a body, Pallbearers were Don Hille, Gerald Otoupal, Jim Hook, Bill Hook, Ken Kreizinger and Gilbert Rehder. Burial was in St Mary's Cemetery.  Caroline C. Kreizinger, the daughter of Peter and Barbara Meysenburg, was born March 4, 1880 in Butler county. She attended Butler county schools.  On May 22, 1901 she was united in marriage to Louis R. Kreizinger and three children were born to this union, They farmed near David City until 1944 when they moved to David City.  Mrs. Kreizinger was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church St. Mary's Guild, St. Mary's P.C.C.W., a chapter president of St. Mary's P.T.A. and was instrumental in organizing the Catholic Daughters of America in 1923.   She is survived by three sons, Arthur Kreizinger of Bonaparte, Ia. L. Robert Kreizinger and Dan Hook of David City; one daughter, Mrs. Carl F. (Josephine) Hille of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1959, and seven brothers and sisters.
