9th. Discharged July 7, 1919.

- Entered service January 19, 1918.
Promoted to rank of Corporal May 1, 1918. Overseas May 5th; was
wounded in the Marne offensive July 19th. Joined his regiment
September 14th. He was captured in the Verdun offensive and made
a prisoner of war; spent three months in a German prison. Discharged
May 15, 1919.

defensives, at Chateau Thierry and Aisne-Marne and Toul Sector,
St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne and in Verdun sectors. Was wounded
October 4th by rifle bullet in left arm. Went to Coblenz December
1st with army of occupation. Discharged August 23, 1919.
