VICTOR MICHAEL YELLI
Funeral services for Victor M. YELLI, 61, of Oakdale, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 1989 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Neligh with Fr. Robert ELMERS officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob AUGHE, Harlan BRANDT, Bud VAN FLEET, Adrian KUSEK, Louis PISHNA, and William TAYLOR. Military rites were conducted by American Legion Post 172 and VFW Post 5287. Victor Michael YELLI, son of Edward and Julia Nickolite Yelli, was born September 28, 1927, on a farm near Ewing and died Friday, February 17, 1989 at Lutheran Community Hospital in Norfolk. He attended schools in the Ewing and Orchard areas. On November 17, 1946, he married Velva Darleen KIFER in Yuma, Arizona. They lived in San Diego, California while he served in the U. S. Marine Corps from August 1946 until March 1948. They then lived in Sioux City, Iowa and later farmed near Plainview and Ord. In 1979, they retired to Oakdale. Mrs YELLI died August 30, 1981. On February 14, 1985, he married Mary Coleen CLAYBURG at Neligh. They made their home in Oakdale. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darleen; their daughter, Pamela Sue; his parents, and a sister in infancy. Survivors include his wife, Coleen of Oakdale; a foster son, Dan Johnson of Kearney; an adopted daughter, Donelle Yelli of Orting, Washington; stepchildren, Kurt Escritt and Debra Clayburg, both of Oakdale; four sisters, Ann NEKI of Omaha, Helen Zakrewski of O’Neill, Clara MAGEE of Farmington, Michigan, and Edna MILLER of Blair; three brothers, Edward of Ewing, Virgil of Orchard and Bernard of Oakdale.

VELVA DARLEEN KIFER YELLI
Funeral services for Mrs Velva Darleen KIFER YELLI of Oakdale were held Wednesday September 2, at St Francis Catholic Church in Neligh. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mrs YELLI was born August 15, 1927 on a farm near Ewing, the daughter of Earl J and Ethel M KIFER, and died August 30, 1981 at the Lutheran Community Hospital in Norfolk at the age of 54. She spent her childhood years near Ewing and Middlebranch. She was united in marriage to Victor M YELLI on November 17, 1946 in Yuma, Arizona. They resided in San Diego, CA while her husband served in the Marine Corps. After leaving the service they lived for several year in Sioux City, IA. They later farmed near Plainview and lived several years on a farm near Ord before retiring two years ago, settling in Oakdale. Survivors include her husband, Victor of Oakdale, one brother, Fora E (Sonny) KIFER of Oakdale and one sister, Elnora S STEWARD of Eagle River, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Sue, her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
