HELEN J STULL WILTSE
One of Oakdale’s best loved and highly respected old ladies passed away at her home Tuesday morning, June 19, 1928 following an illness of four weeks duration. Mrs WILTSE had been a resident of Oakdale nearly 50 years. Coming here with her husband in 1880 the town and surrounding country was yet in the pioneer stage and she fulfilled her part in its development as a faithful helpmate and mother, and with the courage that was not uncommon with the women of that time. In her many years residence here she made a wide circle of friends who will miss and mourn her. Helen J STULL was born at Girard, Ohio on May 14, 1849 and on July 2, 1874 she was married to Albert WILTSE at Springfield, Ohio. Six years later she came out west to Nebraska, locating at Oakdale and since that time has made her home here. Her only child, Mrs Ella MCKIM preceded her in death, passing away on June 30, 1919. Her husband, son-in-law, James MCKIM and her grandson, Albert Edgar MCKIM are her only surviving relatives. Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian Church in Oakdale Thursday afternoon, June 21, and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.
