BENJAMIN F WILSON
Funeral services for Benjamin WILSON of Oakdale were held Wednesday, December 6, at the Marshall-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden. Alvin SCHWARTING of Oakdale officiated at the services and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry LINSE, Jim HOLTON, Glen HOLTON, Lyle HERBOLSHEIMER, Gerald CLEVELAND and Raymond CROSIER. Benjamin F WILSON, son of Levi WILSON and Jennie Mildred HOLTON, was born April 13, 1908 at Oakdale and died Sunday, December 9, 1978 at his home. He received his education in Oakdale and was married to Jeannette HARVEY on June 23, 1937 at Neligh. He was a life long resident of Oakdale where he was a Carpenter. Survivors include his wife and his mother of Neligh. He was preceded in death by his father.

CHARLES COOPER WILSON
Funeral services for Charles C. Wilson, 73, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Marshall Mortuary in Tilden and the Methodist church here, conducted by Rev. W. J. Chittenden, pastor of the Tilden United Brethren church. Burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mr. Wilson died very suddenly Saturday evening while attending the show at the Oak Theater. Charles Cooper WILSON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip WILSON, was born February 15, 1873, in Dakota County, Nebraska, near Dakota City. His life work was finished on May 25, 1946, when he was called out of time into eternity, at the age of seventy-three years, three months and ten days. At the age of eight years he moved with his parents to a home near Sargents Bluff in Woodbury county, Iowa. Here his mother passed away. The father spent only one year in Woodbury county then moved to Moorhead, Monona county, Iowa. On February 22, 1886, the family moved to Antelope County, Nebraska, where his father remarried. Feeling the call of the west, Charles, at the age of twenty-one, moved to Colorado but returned to Oakdale, Nebraska, in the fall of 1899. On October 26, 1904, he was united in marriage to Mary Agnes HOLCOMB of Elgin, Nebraska. To this union one son, Ralph WILSON was born who lives to mourn the passing of his father. Mrs. Wilson passed away on January 19, 1940. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson lived on farms in the neighborhood of Star, Oakdale, Elgin and Tilden until January 1938 when they moved to Oakdale to make their home. Here it was where his home was broken up in the death of his wife. He was a constant reader of the Bible, was baptized and a member of the Oakdale Methodist church.

CORDELIA ANN NIES WILSON
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, March 31, for Mrs D. C. WILSON who passed away Sunday night, following a brief illness. Services were held at the Methodist Church and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery beside her husband. Cordelia Ann NIES was born March 9, 1859 in the State of New York, near Buffalo, and departed this life at her home in Oakdale, March 28, 1937. At the age of eight she came with her parents, who settled in Dakota County, Nebraska, and in March 1878, settled in Antelope County, two and a half miles north of Oakdale, where she lived with her parents until her marriage. She was united in marriage to Drenno COOPER WILSON, March 20, 1879. To this union were born five children, four daughters and one son. Her husband, two daughters, parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church early in life and since had been a member of that faith. Mrs WILSON who always had a kind word and a smile for everyone, will be greatly missed by her many friends and relatives. There remains to mourn her departure two daughters, Mrs Bertha HALEY of Omaha, Mrs Lula GIER of Albion, one son, Levi of Oakdale, a sister, Mrs Julia TRUBE of Plainview, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of friends.

DRENON COOPER WILSON
Drenon COOPER WILSON was born in Ohio on May 22, 1853 and died at his home in Oakdale, December 30, 1926 at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 8 days. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Illinois where they lived until he was eleven years old when the family came to Nebraska, where he has since lived. He was united in marriage to Miss Cordelia NIES in 1879. Five children were born to this union, four daughters and one son. The two oldest daughters preceded him to the great beyond. He united with the Latter Day Saints early in life and since he has been a member of that Church. He leaves to mourn his demise, a wife, two daughters, Mrs Lula GIER of Petersburg and Mrs Bertha HALEY of Omaha, one son, Levi of Oakdale; five granddaughters and one sister who resides in California. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren Church Saturday afternoon, January 1 with Rev. KAUFFROUTH officiating and burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.

EMILY LETICIA LAND WILSON
Emily Leticia LAND, daughter of Owen and Emily LAND, was born February 17, 1863, at Pottsville, Pa., where she lived the early years of her life, and died at Stanton, Nebraska on June 25, 1945. She was left motherless at the age of twelve and being the eldest daughter took care of the home. In 1881 she with her father, three brothers and a sister came to Nebraska where they homesteaded northeast of Oakdale. On June 1, 1885, she was united in marriage to Philip Maro WILSON at Oakdale. For three years they resided near Morehead, Iowa, moving to Oakdale in 1886 where the deceased made her home until 1914. After the death of her husband in 1909 she kept the home and cared for the children till her health failed, the last 25 years being spent with her daughter Mrs. Doan REED. She leaves to mourn her passing an aged sister, Mrs. Mary BROWN of Ottawa, Ks.; four children, Mrs. Doan REED, Stanton, Mrs. Ben NELSON, Grants Pass, OR. Mrs. Flossie SCHWARTING of Tilden and Lee WILSON of Sioux City, IA., and one stepson Charles WILSON of Oakdale; nineteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends. Her husband, two sons Dorman and Nathan, daughters Ida and Jessie and stepson Orlando preceded her in death. Funeral services were held in the Funeral Home in Stanton, Friday, June 29, at 1 p.m. and in the United Brethren church in Oakdale at 3 p. m. Burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.

JEANNETTE HARVEY WILSON
Funeral services for Jeannette WILSON of Oakdale were held Saturday, September 8 at the United Methodist Church in Oakdale. The Rev. Richard ODGERS officiated at the services with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronald WALTON, Wilfred WALTON, Richard WALTON, Ranold WEHENKEL, Kenneth BRIDGE and John KLINE. Jeannette WILSON, daughter of George HARVEY and Adeline WALTON HARVEY, was born at Walnut on February 18, 1913 and died Wednesday September 5, 1979 at the age of 66 years. She was educated at Orchard and was married to Benjamin F WILSON on June 23, 1937 at Neligh. They lived their married life in Oakdale where Mr WILSON was a carpenter. Survivors include her mother, Adeline HARVEY of Royal, four sisters, Mrs Boyd (Irene) GEARY of Norfolk, Mrs Clarence (Nina) CALFIELD of Verdigre, Mrs Del (Olive) MCCLINTOCK of Heyburn, Idaho, and Mrs Doyt (Violet) BRANDT of Creighton, and one brother, George HARVEY of Central City. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 3, 1978, her father, one sister, Mary Jane LINDGREN, and one brother, Charles HARVEY.

MARY AGNES HOLCOMB WILSON
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles WILSON were conducted Monday afternoon from the home and the church with Rev. and Mrs. E. L. PETERSON of St. Edwards in charge. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mary Agnes HOLCOMB was born September 7, 1883 in the Star community and passed away at her home in Oakdale Friday afternoon, January 19, 1940, at the age of fifty-six years, four months and twelve days. She was united in marriage to Charles C. WILSON on October 26, 1904, in Boone County. One son, Ralph L. WILSON, was born to this union. Mrs. Wilson’s entire life was spent on a farm in the Star community until two years ago when she and her husband moved to Oakdale. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband; one son, Ralph; a granddaughter, Catharine WILSON; two sisters Mrs. Lucy CLARK of Norfolk, and Mrs. Irva McCALLISTER of Elgin; three brothers, Frank HOLCOMB of California, Roy HOLCOMB, present address unknown, and Fred HOLCOMB of Enumclaw, Washington,; other relatives and friends.

MARY EUGENE THOMPSON WILSON
Abridged: Mary Eugene THOMPSON was born in Erie County, PA, December 15, 1845, and died at her home in Neligh Friday, May 11, 1923. She was one of the real pioneers of Antelope County. With her parents she moved to Wisconsin while yet a young girl. She was married to the late Robert WILSON in Wisconsin and the young people came to Antelope County in the late seventies in a covered wagon drawn by a span of mules. Mr WILSON homesteaded in Clearwater Township. Mr WILSON taught school lin Oakdale and Mrs WILSON resided on the homestead driving to Oakdale Fridays to bring her husband home for Sunday. Mrs WILSON was practically like the "One hoss Shay," she didn’t break down, she just wore out. She is survived by one sister, Mrs M. E. MALLORY of Raymond, Washington.

NATHAN EDWARD WILSON
Nathan Edward WILSON, son of Phillip and Emily WILSON, was born at Oakdale, Nebraska, October 5, 1893 and died near Laurel, Nebraska, December 1, 1918 as a result of Spanish influenza. He was married to Lola HOPKINS, daughter of Mr and Mrs E. E. HOPKINS, March 23, 1917. Last March he removed to Laurel and was employed on a farm near that town. He is survived by his wife and infant son, mother, five sisters, two brothers and two half-brothers. The remains were brought to Oakdale Tuesday and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Funeral services were at the grave, conducted by Elder Levi GAMET of Inman.

NEVA MERCEDES WILSON
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Oakdale Methodist Church for Miss Neva Mercedes WILSON, 44, of Oakdale, who died Saturday morning, November 9, 1957. The Rev. Lester HART was in charge of services. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Miss WILSON died at the home of Mrs Esther SWANSON where she had been cared for since she was an infant of six months. She suffered and attack of infantile paralysis at the age of four years and had been confined for six years.
