Obituary-The Oakdale Sentinel-October 23, 1925
EDWIN C WILDERMUTH
Abridged: Edwin C WILDERMUTH was born July 17, 1874 at Fairfield County, Ohio and in early childhood went with his parents to Coles County, IL. At twelve he went to Lafaytee County, WI. In 1850 he was United with the Latter Day Saints Church and remained a member until death. On May 1, 1860 he was united in marriage to Miss Julia S REAGLES. To them were born eight children, two sons and six daughters. Two sons and one daughter died in early childhood. He served a term in the Civil War with Company d, Eleventh Wisconsin Volunteers. In 1881 he moved to Oakdale. Last July he in company with Mrs and Mrs NORWOOD visited his only sister, Mrs Cordelia STOUT in Cazenevia, WI, also a brother Eli at Aurora, IL. He died at the home of his daughter, October 15, 1925. Of his immediate family five daughters remain, Mrs A. H. NORWOOD and Mrs W. R. KENNEDY of Oakdale, Mrs J BEELY of Springville, Arkansas, Mrs Grace GORDON of Sand Point, ID and Mrs Florence CARTER of Kootman, ID. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon and interment made in the Oakdale Cemetery.
