EMMA JANE MARTINDALE WEBB

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma WEBB, 84, who was found dead in bed early Sunday evening, were held at the United Brethren church. Rev. Arthur RONEY conducted the services. Burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Emma Jane MARTINDALE, daughter of Milo Rodolphus MARTINDALE and Dolly MARTINDALE, was born in Bay City, Michigan, on May 18, 1859. She spent her early childhood days in Beemer, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Milton WEBB in 1875. To this happy union were born nine children. The husband and six children preceded the wife and mother in death. The married life was spent in Iowa and Nebraska. Her husband passed away at Omaha on March 13, 1911, however the family lived at Meadow Grove and burial was made in the Oakdale Cemetery. Shortly after Mr. WEBB’s death Mrs. WEBB moved to Oakdale where she had since reside. Mrs. WEBB departed from this life May 8, 1943, at the age of eighty-three years, eleven months and twenty days. She leaves to mourn her departure two daughters, Mrs. Grace CLEMENS of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs. Blanche GOOD of Clearwater, California, one son, Fred WEBB, of Rock Island, Illinois, two brothers, William MARTINDALE and James MARTINDALE of Oakdale and a host of friends and neighbors.

MILTON LEVI WEBB

Milton Levi WEBB was born on August 16, 1869 in Iowa. He came to Nebraska in early childhood. On November 13, 1895 he married Emma A MARTINDALE at West Point, Nebraska. Nine children were born to this union, four who survive, two sons and two daughters. He came to Oakdale in 1908. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the United Brethren Church, Rev. Mrs BOOKMILLER preaching the sermon. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.
