Mrs. Frazie Sparr, 1881-1937
Obituary-The Orchard News-July 1 1937
Sylvia Inez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. CRONK, was born August 27, 1881, at Page, Nebraska. Here she grew to womanhood and attended public school and later attended the Wayne Normal, graduating with the teachers class of 1905, and for several years was a successful teacher in Holt and adjoining counties.
On Dec. 28, 1910, she was united in marriage to Frazie SPAR and to this union 4 children were born, three daughter and one son.
She departed this life on June 20, 1937, at her home near Orchard, Nebr., at eh age of 55 years, 9 months and 23 days. She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Hazel MAYNARD, Mrs. Mable BUTTERFIELD, Clarke and three grandchildren, Merna, having died in infancy, also three brothesr, Fred, Jud and Chas. and one sister Mrs. Daisy WILSON. There are several nieces and nephews, besides a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at the Venus Church at 2:00 o'clock with a large attendance, conducted by Undertaker Biglin from O'Neill, with Rev. Paul E. RIGGS officiating.
Six nephews were pall bearers. A quartet with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. DURDEE, W.W. STROPE, Jr., and Margaret STROPE, with Bernice STROPE as organist, provided very appropriate music for the memorial service.
She was a very dutiful wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She was laid to rest in the Enterprise cemetery beside her daughter, Merna.
