FANNIE GIBSON SHORT
Fannie GIBSON was born March 26, 1875 at Fon du Lac, Wisconsin and died at her home in Oakdale, Nebraska, June 19, 1925 at the age of 50 years, 2 months, and 24 days. She came to Oakdale with her parents in 1884 and there resided on a farm southeast of town. She was united in marriage May 29, 1900 to Sanford SHORT and for two years lived near Oakdale. Then they spent 12 years in Canada, returning in 1914 to Oakdale. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and three children, Edwin Roy SHORT of California, Mrs Edith LINGLE of Peru, Nebraska and Wallace Adrian SHORT of Oakdale, besides her brother Fred GIBSON of Oakdale and Mrs A. C. SHORT of Elgin, many relatives and a host of friends. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and a member of the Methodist Episcopal Ladies Aid. She was a good Christian mother and a faithful and devoted wife. She was a very friendly and kind neighbor who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was patient in her suffering and was conscious during her brief illness until the time that she went to sleep last Friday out which sleep she never awoke, thus passing peacefully to her eternal rest. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Sunday afternoon, June 28, conducted by Rev. MOORE, and interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery.

ORA MAY SHORT
Funeral services for Mrs Ora May SHORT, 81, of Tooele, Utah, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Oakdale Seventh Day Adventist Church. Elder E. E. BOYD of Norfolk officiated and interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Mrs Ora May SHORT, a former Oakdale resident, died June 24, 1959 at the home of her daughter Mrs Eva RINALDI at Tooele, Utah. Mrs SHORT had made her home with her daughter for the past two years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs Lucy REINCHE of Yuba, California and Mrs Eva RINALDI of Tooele, Utah, and one son, Jack MAY of Yuba, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
