Obituary-The Oakdale Sentinel-March 3, 1911

KATHARINE ALBA STALEY ROSE

Abridged. Katharine Alba STALEY ROSE was born in Marion County, Iowa, September 6, 1859 and died at Oakdale, Nebraska, February 25, 1911. She resided in Iowa until 1881 when she came to Nebraska. On January 12, 1886 she married Henry ROSE. They had five children, three boys and two girls, a girl died at six years of age. Surviving children are, Mrs W. M. COWIN, William, Henry and Walter ROSE. She leaves two sisters and four brothers; Mrs C. F. RENO of Oakdale, Mrs Mary FRY of Knoxville, Iowa, J. D. STALEY of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, William, John and Amos STALEY of Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday at the Methodist Episcopal Church and were conducted by Rev. J. S. ELLIS. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery.
