D. M. MURPHY

D. M. Mruphy, 64, prominent Omaha attorney, died of a heart attack November 25, 1946, at his home there after an illness of seven years. Born at Oakdale, Nebraska. Mr. MURPHY was Superintendent of Schools for Antelope County for several years. He practiced with Judge J. F. BOYD at Neligh from 1916 until 1919 when he moved to Omaha, where he was first associated with Merrow and Murphy and later with his son D. M. MURPHY Jr. he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral services were held Friday at St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Omaha with burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Anna L. MURPHY, sons Reggie MURPHY and D. M. MURPHY Jr. and grandchildren Jeanette MURPHY and D. M. MURPHY III, all of Omaha; brothers J. P. MURPHY of Tilden and J. R. MURPHY of Oakdale.

JULIA ULLOM MURPHY

Julia ULLOM was born at Cadiz, WI July 28,1870 and passed away at her home in Oakdale, March 21, 1933 aged sixty-two years, seven months and twenty-one days. She came to Nebraska from Wisconsin in October 1885 with her father, S. W. ULLOM, one brother and fours sisters, locating in St Clair Valley. She was united in marriage to Patrick MURPHY also of St Clair, April 3, 1898. They continued to live in St Clair for a number of years, moving to Oakdale thirteen years ago where she at present resided, her husband having preceded her death October 9, 1931. She is survived by one brother, John ULLOM of Riverton, WY and two sisters, Mrs Ora May SHORT of Los Angeles, and Mrs Charles LOWE of Oakdale, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in Oakdale March 23 and interment was in the ULLOM lot in the Oakdale Cemetery.
