H. C. MCTEE
H.C. McTee was born in Chicago, Ill., Nov. 1, 1859, and passed away Nov. 13, 1920, at his home in Frenchtown. He had been ailing since early in the spring and gradually grew worse. After consulting the local physicians he went to Norfolk, afterwards to Rochester, Minn. and finally to Hot Springs, S. Dak. Receiving no benefit from any of the specialists he came home to await the dread summons which finally came. His trouble seemed to be in his stomach and nerves. He leaves a wife and four sons to mourn his loss: Charles H. and Elmer G. of Rushville, John C. of Elgin and Ray E. of Ewing; also three brothers and three sisters. One brother and a nephew from Hastings attended the funeral, another brother arriving late. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Spracklin of Orchard by request of the deceased, Monday Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. Interment was made in the Orchard cemetery. The friends have the sincere sympathy of the scribe and entire neighborhood in their bereavement.

HENRY MCTEE
After a lingering illness of about a year, Henry McTee answered the final summons; Saturday morning of last week at his home about six miles south of Orchard. He went to Rochester several months ago to consult the Mayo brothers but did not receive very encouraging advice. Later he went to the Hot Springs, S. Dak. Accompanied by his son Ray, where he remained for several weeks. Mr McTee was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and it was under their direction the funeral was held. He was a quite well to do farmer and was well respected by his neighbors. During his lingering illness he had the constant attention of his wife and son Ray. Henry McTee was born in Chicago, Nov. 1, 1859 and died at the age of 61 years and 12 days. He was married to Daisy Hubbard in 1890 (1891) and to this union were born four sons, all of whom were living and all of whom were in attendance at the funeral except Guy who lives in Montana and could not be located in time. There remains to mourn his departure; the wife, four sons, Ray who is at home, John of Elgin, Guy of Montana, and Charley of Bassett, a brother John McTee of Chicago, a sister Mrs Sadie Downing of Cherry County, and two half brothers, William and Arden Dire of Hastings.
