MARSHALL Rites Held Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. C. O. Marshall were held from the Hoepfinger Home for Funerals in Neligh at two o'clock Thrusday afternoon, with the Rev. Lisle Mewmaw officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Clarence and Roland Johnson sang "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Lisle Mewmaw.Pallbearers were Alfred Brodersen, Mac Degiallez, Emil Reutzel Sr., Gordon C Baker, Mike Philben, and Harold Payne.
Mrs. Marshall died at her home on Sunday following a heart attack. She had been in ill health for several months. Dolly Viola Croston, daughter of John and Mary Jane Croston was born at Sioux City, Iowa, on March 31, 1900 and died at Neligh, Nebraska on February 28, 1960 at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 27 days.Her early childhood was spent at Haywarden, Iowa and Sorum, S. D., where she attended school.On May 28, 1917 she was married to Clarence Oliver Marshall at Neligh Nebraska.
They made their home at Valentine Nebraska from 1917 until 1924 when they moved to Neligh, Nebraska, which was her home until her death.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of the Methodist Church and a Gold Star Mother in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. A son, Floyd Eugene, died in the service of his She is survived by her husband; three sons, Joe of Omaha, Don of Neligh, and Gerald of Derby, Colorado; three daughters, Leona Clark of Omaha, Dorothy Coonrod of Hyampom, California, and Lois Lynn of Neligh; grandchildren, Linda Widman and Sandra Clark of Omaha, Mary Jane, Bonnie, Maxine and Charles Coonrod of Hyam[pom, California, Don and Rose Ann Marshall of Neligh, Brenda and Dee Anna Marshall of Derby, Colorado; and on great grandson, Kevin Widman of Omaha. Out of town relatives and friends attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marshall and Terry of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Marshall and Jerry Van Wart of San Francisco, Mrs Fred Marshall of Pacoima, California, Dorothy Coonrod of Hyampom, California, Mr. and Mrs Melvin Conron of Cheyenne, Wyoing, Mr and Mrs. Gerald Marshall of Derby Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen of Arvada, Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Doracey Clark and Sandra of Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. George Widman and Kevin of Omaha.

MARSHALL Succumbs
Funeral services for C. O. "Shorty" Marshall of Neligh will be held at 2 p.m., Thrusday, Oct. 2 at Hoepfinger Home for Funerals at Neligh.
The Rev. Dillon Hess, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Alfred Brodersen, Gordon C. Baker, Harold Payne, Charles Scott, Leo Strong and Ralph M. Kryger. Clarence O. Marshall was born January 10, 1894 at Valentine to Joseph Marion Marshall and Sarah Jane (Betts) Marshall and died September 28 at Antelope Memorial Hospital. He was married May 28, 1917 to Dollie Viola Croston.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dorace (Leona) Clark, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Coonrod and Mrs. Milo (Lois) Lynn; three sons, Joe, Donald and Gerald; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two brothers, William and Fred. He was preceded in death by one son, Floyd;and his wife and parents.
