CLARA M JOHNSON LILLYBLADE

Clara M JOHNSON was born in Ulrika, Sweden, December 7, 1850, and came to this country in 1865 settling with her parents in Fairfield, Iowa. Here she was married to Andrew W. LILLYBLADE in 1873 and moved at once to Osceola, Iowa. Their home here was blessed by the birth of their only child, a daughter, now Mrs George W. PARK. Mr LILLYBLADE died many years ago. Mrs Park having been married at Osceola, Iowa in the fall of 1897 brought her mother with her when she moved to Neligh this same year, coming to Oakdale in 1904. These two have been constant companions, and with love and tenderness the mother has been cared for all these years. Mrs LILLYBLADE had not been very strong for several years but had been abed but two weeks, when on Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30, August 21, 1923, she passed peacefully to her heavenly home, being aged 72 years, 8 months and 5 days. The deceased was a congenial companion, a splendid neighbor and always kindly disposed toward everybody. She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church from her infancy. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday, August 23, conducted by Rev. C. L. MEYERS and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.
