CHARLES LEE

Died June 12, 1888, Charles LEE, aged 21 years and 7 months. Mr. LEE was enroute for Kansas with a team. He had stopped for the night at Newman Grove and while sitting near the center pole of their tent, was instantly killed by lightning, which struck the center pole. His sudden death casts a gloom over the large circle of friends he had formed since coming into our midst. "A precious one from us has gone, A voice wer loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home which never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled the boon His love had given; And though the body moulders here, We hope to meet in Heaven."
