BLANCHE YOUNG KAZDA
Funeral services for Mrs Blanche KAZDA, 51, of Anaheim, California were held Tuesday, July 16 at 10 a.m. in the Hoepfinger Home For Funerals with the Rev. Amel WHITWER, minister of the Congregational Church in charge. Mrs KAZDA was killed Wednesday, July 10, 1963, in an automobile accident near Indio, California. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Blanche YOUNG KAZDA was born December 20, 1911 at Clarks, Nebraska. She was graduated in 1930 from the Atkinson High School and taught schools for many years in Holt and Antelope counties. Survivors include three sons, one daughter, two grandchildren, her parents, Mr and Mrs Ersie R. YOUNG of Neligh, four sisters and one brother. Preceding her in death was a brother in 1943 and one son, Billy, killed in 1960 in aan accident in England while in the service of his country.

JOHN W (BILL) KAZDA
A/2C John W. KAZDA died in the Princess Mary Hospital at Holton, Aylesburg Buck, England on May 27, 1960. KAZDA was seriously injured May 17 in a motorcycle accident. His mother, Mrs Blanche KAZDA, left Friday for England when she heard of his critical condition. She learned in New York City that "Bill" had died. She arrived home Saturday night. He was 20 years and 10 months of age at the time of his death. The young man entered the service in December of 1956. He had lived in Oakdale for 11 years. Survivors include his mother, two sisters, Mrs Patty CRABTREE of Buena Park, California, and Gladyce KASKDA of Oakdale, three brothers, Donald of Elba, Idaho, Ralph and Dennis of Oakdale, his grandmother, Mrs Ralph YOUNG of Neligh. The remains will arrive in Oakdale in the near future for burial. (Oakdale Cemetery)
