ANDREW JOHN JACOBSON
Andrew John JACOBSON was born November 7, 1854 at Ostergotland, Sweden and passed away February 29, 1932 at Oakdale, Nebraska aged 77 years, 3 months and 22 days. He came to America in 1881. Upon his arrival here he came west at once and settled in CRAWFORD County, Iowa at Kiron where he first followed the CARPENTER trade for four years. As a young man he thought the opportunities were better in America than his native country. He was a skilled workman and was always employed at good wages. The faithful discharge of his duties was the best recommendation. About this time he bought an 80 acre tract of land and various times added to his holdings until he owned 120 acres with substantial improvements. As another brother was with him he did most of the farming while Mr JACOBSON devoted his time to his trade. He leaves to mourn him one brother, Charles JACOBSON of Oakdale, one sister, Lena of Kiron, Iowa, three nieces, four nephews and a large number of friends. Three brothers preceded him in death. After disposing of his property in Iowa he came to Antelope County, purchasing the farm where he resided until his death. Interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.
