AUGUSTA MARIE KLAWITTER JACOB
Funeral services for Augusta Marie JACOB, 72, of Clearwater, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15 at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Clearwater with Rev. Donald L BRAUNERSREUTHER officiating. Music was provided by Zella SCHWARTING, soloist, accompanied by Esther HERLEY, organist. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery with Guy, Hal and John JACOB, Bob SIMPSON, Gill JONES, and James SIMPSON serving as pallbearers. Augusta Marie JACOB, daughter of Paul and Emma GUESCH KLAWITTER, was born February 20, 1913 at Wewela, South Dakota and died April 12, 1985 at the Osmond General Hospital. When she was 12, she moved with her family to Norfolk and attended the Norfolk Public Schools. On April 19, 1929, she married Ervin NICHOLAS JACOB at Pierce. They made their home at Battle Creek, Tilden, Oakdale and Neligh. JACOB died May 23, 196 and Mrs JACOB moved to Elgin where she lived for a number of years. She moved to Clearwater several years ago. Mrs JACOB was a member of the Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, four brothers, Emil, Jeff, Gill and Lloyd KLAWITTER, and three sisters, Lydia VERPLANK, Esther CLAUSSEN and Maxine KLAWITTER. Survivors include four sons, Ervin of Omaha, Louie of Norfolk, Eli of Clearwater and Harold of Coon City, Minnesota, eight daughters, Mrs Harry (Elvera) LEWIS of Hartington, Mrs Wendell (Lydia Darlene) PETERSEN and Mrs Merrill (Margaret) MCDONALD, both of Ogden, Utah, Mrs Donald (Elsie) JONES of Clearwater, Mrs Arlo (Hazel) HOEFER of Omaha, Mrs Robert (Luella) SIMPSON of Anoka, Minnesota, Mrs CURTIS (Betty) KITCHIN of Diamond, Oklahoma, and Mrs Orville (Joyce) DANIELS of Oakdale, 41 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, one brother, Harold KLAWITTER of Norfolk, and two half-brothers, Marvin JACOB of Albany, Oregon and Preston JACOB of California.

ERVIN NICHOLAS JACOB
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 25 at Hoepfinger’s Home for Funerals for Ervin N JACOB with Alvin SCHWARTING officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Ervin Nicholas JACOB, son of William and Emelia Eyl JACOB, was born August 27, 1904 in Stanton County and died Monday May 23, 1966 at Antelope Memorial Hospital at the age of 61 years, 8 months and 26 days. He was married to Marie KLAWITTER on August 10, 1929 and to this union 12 children were born. Survivors include his wife, eight daughters, Mrs Elvera LEWIS, Neligh, Mrs Darlene PETERSEN, Riverside, CA, Mrs Hazel HOEFER, Elgin, Mrs Margaret MCDONALD, Oakdale, Luella SIMPSON, Yankton, SD, Mrs Elsie JONES, Clearwater, Betty and Joyce, Oakdale; four sons, Ervin Jr, Omaha, Louis Paul, Eli and Harold, Oakdale, 27 grandchildren, three brothers, Louie and Leonard of Council Bluffs, IA and Herman of Oregon and one sister, Mrs Lydia MILLER of Ashland.
