Laura HUNTSMAN
Graveside services for Laura L. Huntsman, 74, of Stockton, Calif., were held Friday, April 12, at the Oakdale Cemetery. Alvin Schwarting officiated. Arrangements were by Marshall-Harlan Funeral Home of Tilden. Laura Holmes, daughter of Elmer and Rena Holmes, was born November 29, 1921, at Oakdale. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1940 and, later that year, married Verle Huntsman of Orchard. He served in the U.S. Navy and they lived in various locations until retiring to Stockton in 1971. In Europe, she was a buyer for Western Europe Navy Exchanges. Mrs. Huntsman died Friday, April 5, at Beverly Manor Convalescent Hospital in Stockton. She was preceded in death by her husband, April 1, 1976; a granddaughter, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Toni Cardinale, a granddaughter and a great granddaughter, all of Stockton.

VERLE HUNTSMAN
Services for Verle HUNTSMAN, 57, of Stockton, California, formerly of Oakdale and Orchard, were held Monday, April 5 at the Oakdale Cemetery. Graveside services were conducted by Edwin-Huninger Post 170 of Tilden. Alvin SCHWARTING officiated. He was born October 12, 1918 at Orchard to Mr and Mrs Marian HUNTSMAN and died Thursday, April 1, 1976 at his home in Stockton of a heart attack. He was a 1937 Orchard High School graduate. On May 25, 1940 he was united in marriage to La Rose HOLMES at Pender. Verle was thirty year Navy veteran. During the 40’s he was employed by Leonard KERBEL at the Neligh Creamery. Survivors include his widow, La Rose, one daughter, Mrs Toni CARDINALE of Stockton, one granddaughter, his parents at Atwater, California, two sisters, Mrs Marvin (Lucille) VETTER of Atwater and Mrs Lew (EDIE) WALLACE of Portland, Oregon, and one brother, Marion Jr. of Winters, California.
