GEORGE PETER HOOS

Funeral services for George P HOOS were held last Thursday at the home and Freidens Evangelical Church at Tilden with burial in the Oakdale Cemetery. George Peter HOOS, son of Mr and Mrs Carl HOOS, was born near Falls City, Nebraska on August 30, 1869. He came to Antelope County in February of 1892. On March 5, 1896, he was United in matrimony to Miss Carolina PETERSEN. This union was blessed with six children, all of whom survive. The departed has been ailing for a number of years but about a month ago he became confined to his bed, at times suffering intensely. On Saturday, October 6, 1934 he answered the eternal roll call. His children are Mrs Marie RENNER of Madison, Mrs Anna HAGEDORN of Tilden, Mrs Bertilla DOWNS of Oakdale, Rev. Carl HOOS of Venice, CA and Merle HOOS at home. He also leaves eighteen grandchildren and is survived by three brothers and four sisters.
