EVELYN JEAN CLARK HOOD

Services for Evelyn Jean HOOD, 63, Columbus, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Chapel here. Pastor Paul MILLER will officiate. There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Oakdale Cemetery in Oakdale. Visitation will be 2-9 Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs HOOD died Sunday, June 10, 1991, at the Columbus Community Hospital. She was born December 4, 1927, at Oakdale, the daughter of William and Lucy (HOLCOMB) CLARK. She was married to Ralph W HOOD November 27, 1984 in Yankton, South Dakota. She had lived in Clinton, Iowa, Norfolk and Columbus. She was the former co-owner of the Huddle Bar in Platte Center. Mrs HOOD was member of the Eagle’s Club in Norfolk, the VFW Club in Columbus and the First Christian Church of Norfolk. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs Robert (Donna) LAWRENCE of Columbus, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and three step-grandchildren, and three sisters, Beauleh SPAULDOS of Norfolk, Leona MUELLER of Norfolk and Vera SLOAMA of San Diego, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one infant daughter and two brothers.
