THEODORE HAYES

Theodore HAYES, 77, a resident in Oakdale for 43 years, died Monday afternoon, November 5, 1956, at his home. His death was caused by cancer. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Oakdale Methodist Church with burial at the Oakdale Cemetery. The Rev. I L. HART will officiate. Theodore hays was born January 30, 1879 to Joseph and Mary HAYES in Texas County, Missouri. He came to Tilden in 1901 and later moved to Oakdale. He was married in 1901 to Mary Etta BOX and nine children were born to this couple. A son and daughter preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, four daughters, Carrie BANIGAN of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Dorothy WARNEKE of San Diego, California, Gladys LINVILLE of Long BEACH, California, and Verna MUELLER of Norfolk, three sons, Harold of Sunnydale, California, Melvin of Plainview and Leonard of Oakdale, 31 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
