ANNA F SAUNDERS GRUNKE

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 21, at the New Kingdom Hall in Neligh for Anna F. GRUNKE. Alvie CUNNINGHAM officiated at the service and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery with Walter KLOEPPER, Ivan KLOEPPER, Elmer KLOEPPER, David BRANDT, Guy SELLERS, and J. SAMSON as pallbearers. Mrs. GRUNKE died Saturday, September 18, 1976 at the Manor Hall Nursing Home in Tilden where she was resided since July 3, 1974. The daughter of Joseph Noelle and Bertha SAUNDERS, Anna GRUNKE was born December 21, 1900, at Bazile Mills, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Henry GRUNKE and they farmed in the O’Neill area. After her husband’s death, Mrs GRUNKE moved to Oakdale in 1965. Mrs GRUNKE was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers. Survivors include two sons, Harmen of Omaha and Oscar of Republican City, two daughters, Irene PEAK of Collinsville, Illinois and Dolly CLARK of Fort Worth, Texas, and four brothers, Joe of Oakdale, Emil and Art from South Dakota and Albert of Sioux City, Iowa.
