CLAUDE F FORSLUND
Services for Claude F FORSLUND, 71, Meadow Grove, will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ here. The Revs. Bryce HECHT and Walter BORIS officiating. He died Wednesday evening, March 7, 1990, at Methodis Hospital in Omaha. Pallbearers were Ronnie EYMANN, Rich EYMANN, Bob SMITH, David RITTSHER, Dan RYAN, and Gordaon EYMANN. FORSLUND was born at Ewing onJune 27, 1918 to Frank and Laura (GOOD) FORSLUND. He grew to manhood in the Ewing area and attended rural schools. He farmed for several years south of Oakdale before enlisting the U. S. Army during World War II. He served from August 15, 1942 to January 19, 1945 and was a Technician 4 with the 937th Ordnance Heavy Automotive Maintenance Company at the time of his discharge. He married Deloris Irene EYMANN and they farmed a number of years northeast of Elgin before moving to their farm north of Meadow Grove where they resided at the time of his death. Claude was a member of Peace United Church of Christ and American Legion Post 170, both of Tilden. Survivors include his wife of Meadow Grove, two sons, Carl of Arlington, Virginia, and Don of Omaha, five grandchildren, one brother, Kenneth of Yuma, Arizona, and one sister, Mrs Margaret RICHARDSON of El Monte, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Glen and Irvin, and two sisters, one in infancy and Carol DUNBAR.
