Mary A. FLETCHER
Mary A. CLARENCE was born near Union, Nebraska, on September 8, 1875. She was converted and joined the Church at the age of thirteen and lived a consistent Christian life to the end. She was a member of the United Brethren church at Oakdale, Nebraska. Mrs. Fletcher had a lifetime membership in the W.C.T.U. She was married to E. A. FLETCHER on April 16, 1896, at Nebraska City, Nebraska. To this union was born three children. She was a good wife and loving mother. She leaves to mourn her death her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Leta PUGH, Oakdale, Mrs. Leora SYLVESTER, Union; two grandchildren, Mrs. Irma HOSKINS, Nebraska City, and Jack BURKE, SKD1c, USN, two great grandchildren Sharon HOSKINS and Henry HOSKINS; three brothers, Henry CLARENCE, Goldendale, WA., B. G. CLARENCE, Bloomfield, Nebraska, A. V. CLARENCE, San Bernardino, Ca. Her son, Wymore, died October 3, 1933. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 1, 1945, at her home in Oakdale, Nebraska, at the age of sixty-nine years, ten months and twenty-three days. Rev. L. R. MCCAUGHEY of Craig conducted funeral services at two o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church in Union. Burial was made in the East Union cemetery.
