ALIDA M JENSEN BURKHEAD

Mrs Alva BURKHEAD died Tuesday May 28, 1912 afternoon a brief illness. She is survived by her husband and an infant daughter, born two days before her death. The deceased was the daughter of Peter JENSEN and was born August 26, 1894 at Waterloo, Nebraska. On July 5, 1911 she married Alva BURKHEAD. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the United Brethren Church and interment was made in the Oakdale Cemetery.

ALVIE L. BURKHEAD

Services for Alvie L. BURKHEAD, 86, Neligh, will be at 1:30 PM Saturday and Hoepfinger-Beyer Funeral Home here. Alvin SCHWARTING will officiate with burial in Oakdale Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 3-8 p.m. today ( Friday) at the funeral home. He was born June 28, 1891 in Antelope County to Mr. And Mrs. Joseph W. BURKHEAD and died Wednesday, February 16, l978, at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. A retired farmer, he lived his entire life in in Antelope County. Prior to coming to the Neligh area in 1939, he lived south of Oakdale in the Star community. He married Alida Jensen July 8, 1911 in Albion. She died in May 1912. He married Florence DANIEL June 28, 1930 and Gregory, South Dakota. Survivors include his wife, one son, Robert of Spokane, Washington, one step-son, Donald D. MARR of Shreveport, Louisiana, one daughter, Mrs Leslie (Leone) FIRTH of Hampton, one sister, Elsie JACKSON of Oakdale, four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, one infant daughter and one sister.
