CONRAD JOSEPH BUDDE
Funeral services for Conrad Joseph BUDDE of Grand Island were held Saturday, April 19 at the Christ Lutheran Church at Grand Island with the Rev. James PLITZUWEIT officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery. Conrad Joseph BUDDE was born October 23, 1908 to John and Minnie MOLLHOFF BUDDE at Emerick and died April 16, 1975. He later moved to Tilden with his parents where he attended Public School. On July 26, 1929 he married Leone BURKHEAD of Oakdale at Council Bluffs, Iowa. To this union two children were born one son and one daughter. After completing a course in radio and electricity, he began work for the Beal Electric at Tilden. He was later employed at Norfolk and later owned and operated an electric shop in Wisner. In 1942 the family moved to Wahoo where he was employed as communication engineer at the Mead Ordnance Plant. In 1945 they moved to Lincoln where he was employed for an electric company, retiring in 1973. Survivors include his widow, one son, Eugene of Cairo, on daughter, Mrs Carolyn ROTHWELL of Torrence, California, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Regina WESCHE of Wisner, and Mrs Helen BIERMAN of Platte Center, two brothers, Fritz of Wisner and Enno of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
