William BLIGH
W. Bligh, son of Charles and Sarah J. Bligh, was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on August 1, 1868, and died at his home in Oakdale, Nebraska, on June 6, 1950.
He moved from Woodstock, Illinois, to Antelope County in 1879 and was a blacksmith and farmer near Royal for many years. He was married to Bina M. Thurston September 18, 1912, and to this union was born ten children. Surviving him are his wife; nine children, Charles Bligh of Valentine, Reece Bligh of Norris, SD., Paul Bligh of Kimberlin Heights, TN., David Bligh of Evanston, WY., Allan Bligh of Norfolk, Albert Bligh of Grant, Ardys Bligh of Elgin, Mrs. Phyllis King of Norfolk, and Mrs. Alice Reiss of Neligh; and eight grandchildren. His son George preceded him in death, in 1935. Funeral services were held at the Hoepfinger-McGee home for funerals of Neligh Friday afternoon with burial in Laurel Hills cemetery. Dale Williamson of Tilden conducted the services.
