Services Held For Mrs. Cecil ALLEN
Sarah Cecil RISINGER, daughter of Leonard and Emmira RISINGER was born near Shelby, Iowa, February 26, 1884, and passed away at her home Orchard, Nebr., August 28, 1971.
She moved with her parents to near Chadron, Nebr. and later to near Venus in the early 1900's where the family continued farming.
In August 1909, she was married to Ela ALLEN at the RISINGER family home near Venus. The young couple homesteaded in Ainsworth, Nebr. later moving to Canada and then to Blaine, Wash.
She is survived by four children, James R. of Sarcokie, Mo.; Alice E. SANDERS of College Place, Wash., William J. of Spokane, Wash. and Frank A. of Grand Coulee, Wash., 11 grandchildren and a number of great grand children, one sister Alice RISINGER lives at home in Orchard. She Was preceded in death by her husband Ela in 1946, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Funeral services were held in Orchard on Tuesday at 10:00 at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Mel SHAFER officiating. Burial will be at the family plot in the Green Acres Memorial Park, Ferndale, Wash.
Cecil had been a most faithful Christian, Sunday School teacher and a Bible reader.
