Alvin L. Eymann

Alvin L. Eymann enlisted in the U S Navy Reserve in March 1942 and reported for active duty on April 6, 1942. He received training California and volunteered for aviation radioman. He was a radioman gunner on the USS Sangamon and left for the Pacific in October of 1943. He saw action at numerous islands and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was separated from service on October 9, 1945. Alvin married Marian Springer and they had two sons. He was employed by Nebraska Public Power. They made their home in O’Neill, Nebraska until his death on August 12, 1975. |
