Percy A. Emerson was inducted into the Army on January 7, 1942 and he attended airplane mechanic school in Mississippi and then went to Indiana.  He sailed on June 3, 1942 on the Queen Elizabeth with the 9th Air Force and arrived in Scotland.  He was transferred to the 8th Air Force.  He left the British Isles on March 19, 1945 and was stationed at Deming, New Mexico.  He was discharged on October 28, 1945.  He married Doris Allison and they live in Kansas.
