Willsey O. Elsberry, son of Orvel and Lillie Elsberry of Brunswick, was born January 28, 1924, at Royal, Nebraska.  He graduated from Brunswick High School in 1942 and was inducted into the Army on May 25, 1944.  He left for the European Theater on January 10, 1945 and served there until June 3, 1946 when he returned to the US.  He was separated from the Army on June 19, 1946.  He was in France when he received word of the death in the Philippines of his brother, Melvern.  Willsey died in 1967.
