Clifford Eickhoff, son of William Eickhoff and Grace Miller, was born March 1, 1910, on a farm southwest of Tilden.  He graduated from Tilden High School and entered the Army Air Corps on September 14, 1942.  He embarked to Europe on January 18, 1944 and was engaged in the air offensive over Europe.  He was discharged July 2, 1945.  He returned to the Tilden area and married Maxine Mills.  They have three sons, Greg, Philip and Dean.  Clifford died on June 17, 1986.
