Gerald E. Dikeman served one year in the National Guard from December 1940 to December 1941.  He was immediately inducted into the Army after Pearl Harbor.  He was a cook in a medical unit and then was in the infantry.  He served until the spring of 1946 after which he attended business college.  Gerald worked until retirement for Sioux City Soya Company.  Gerald is on the left in picture.
