Elwin D. Dikeman entered the Coast Guard Merchant Marines in the fall of 1943 after graduation from Royal High School.  He served until late in 1945.  After the war he worked for the railroad and in 1950 became a city mail carrier in California.  Elwin is on the right in the picture.
