Walter E. Childs, son of Lewis and Olive Childs, was born in 1904 at Tilden, Nebraska.  He was inducted into the Army and served for six to eight months.  He was discharged in 1944 because of ill health.  He returned to Nebraska and farmed for many years, later working at the Norfolk Livestock Company.  Walter never married and passed away in August 1966.  Picture shows father, Lewis, Walter, and Dewey.
