T/Sgt. Eugene C. Anderson

Eugene entered the Army Air Corps on November 5, 1942. He trained at Brooks Field, San Antonio, Texas, Lowry Field, Denver, Colorado and Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio. He left the states on March 23, 1945 and served in the China-Burma-India Theater and was engaged in the Central China-Burma offensive. He returned to the U S on March 8, 1946. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was discharged at Fort Logan, Colorado on March 14, 1946, with the rank of Technical Sergeant. After the service he worked as a mechanic for 35 years for Trans World Airlines. |
