Lincoln Township Another country school of this township we would like to note is the “Little Gem” of District 105. The first building was located in the north corner of the NE1/4 of Sec. 29. It was a soddy built in the late 1880’s. A frame building was erected in 1892. This building was located on the south corner of Sec. 20 and functioned until 1944 when school was discontinued. The building was sold to Keith Shoemaker, who moved it to Elgin and converted it into a dwelling. Source: History of Antelope County, 1883-1973, Pg 46 |
