MATT WYLIE married Fannie Bell Haggard on August 18, 1924 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Fannie was born at Trumbull, Nebraska and graduated from Cotner College in Lincoln. Matt died on May 18, 1964 and Fannie on January 25, 1971. They were parents of three children: Mary Maxine, July 10, 1926; William Matt, May 10, 1928 and Nancy Marlene, August 5, 1933. The children attended Linton School and graduated from Elgin High. Matt was active in local affairs as well as serving as a State Senator. Matt died while in office and Fannie served the remainder of his term. Their son William, also served as a Senator.
