JOHN E. WYLIE was born in Saunders County, Nebraska on March 9, 1886 and died on March 12, 1985. He was the son of John and Nancy Wylie. Nella Nyrop was born August 14, 1889 on her parents farm and died March 3, 1984. She was the daughter of Christopher and Ella Nyrop. John and Nella were married at the home of her parents on June 16, 1909 and farmed all their lives in the Elgin area. They were parents of five children: Helen, ruth, Paul, Max and Doris.
