Hans Wulf was born in August 1849 in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany.  When a young man, he came to America with his brother, William.  For a number of years, he found employment in mills around the country.  He worked in the Neligh Mills and at that time filed for a homestead southwest of Clearwater, Nebraska.  There were no trees or roads of any kind.  He dug a cave for his first residence, in which he resided until he could build his first house.  Maria Reimer was born in February 1864 in Kosel, Germany.  She came to America with her father when she was 18 years old.  Maria got employment as a domestic maid at Davenport, Iowa.  Her father proceeded to Clearwater to live with his son who had come there earlier.  Maria came to visit her father and met Hans Wulf.  They were married in 1884.  They were the parents of ten children:  Dora Wulf married Charles Neiderheide in 1905 and they had two sons, Lester and Vincent and one daughter, stillborn.  Henry Wulf married Minnie Krohn in 1912, three sons, DeWayne, Delno and LaVern.  Dora died March 30, 1967 and Henry died February 12, 1960.  Lorenz Wulf married Arzola Geausaway on December 8, 1915.  Lorenz died May 21, 1976. Frank Wulf married Marie Abraham in 1920.  Their daughter Eris was born to them.  Frank died November 26, 1955.  John Wulf married Eva Barton in 1930.  John died January 26, 1967.  Adolph Wulf married Louise Krebs on September 18, 1920.  Adolph died in 1983 and Louise in 1972.  Rosa Wulf married Guy Coiner in 1923.  Guy died after ten years and Rosa married his brother, Lee.  Lee died in 1947 and Rosa died in 1985.  Amy Wulf married Earl Ossenkop in 1925, one son, Robert.  Amy and Earl were divorced and Amy married Richard Goldwater.  Amy died June 4, 1968.  Hulda Wulf married Chauncey Krebs in 1922, four children, LeMoyne, June, Eleanor and Richard.  Hulda died at age 40.  Meta Wulf married Roy Olmsted on April 18, 1928, three children, Vera, Lee and Jean.  Roy died December 26, 1971.  Hans Wulf died October 11, 1907.  Maria died in 1933.  Two of their sons, Frank and John were drafted in World War I and both returned.
