JOHN THIESSEN, son of Clouse and Abel Kruzie, was born in Bucholtz village, Holstein province, Germany, on June 13, 1865. His father was born in 1831. John grew to young manhood in Germany and sailed to America in 1888. He landed in New York and then traveled to Antelope county. The first years of farming were tough. In 1900 he married Miss Emma Geise. They are parents of four children: Clouse, Adelia, John and Lola.
