JOHN J. THIELE, son of John F Theile and Josephine Keber was born December 4, 1921 on a farm north of Clearwater, Nebraska. He married Elizabeth A Schindler, daughter of Fred Schindler and Lucy Tagel of Elgin. She was born on a farm southwest of Elgin on December 10, 1924. John served in the U S Army from 1942 to 1946 and Elizabeth enlisted with the Navy WAVE’s in 1945 and served for 18 months. They are the parents of nine children: Maurice (1952) married Elizabeth Keating, two sons; Elizabeth Ann (1953) married Robert Knapp; Fredric J (1955) married Debra Snider, four children; Charles E (1956) married Barbara Sojka, two children; Jerome F(1958) ; Rosemary(1960) married Walter Patras; Patricia F (1961) married Terry Hemenway, two children; Raymond P(1963); and Richard J.
