Joe Moser, son of Joseph and Caroline Moser, was born in
Raeville, Nebraska in March 1885. His
father died when Joe was 14. Joe
married Elizabeth Schumacher in 1909. They lived on a farm southeast of Elgin. Seven children were born: Alfred, Edwin, Cyrilla, Laurine, Leonard, Josephine and Robert. Joe died February 23, 1935. Alfred married Johanna Scholl and moved to
Idaho. Edwin married Dorothy Telgren
and moved to California. Leonard
joined the Navy and was in World War I. He married Marie Pelster in 1942 and lived in Marsing, Idaho. Elizabeth sold the farm and moved into
Elgin where she died on April 11, 1977. Cyrilla died at the age of six. Laurine had moved to California, married Ray Denne and died in
1982. Josephine went to Idaho and
married John Maglacek. Robert was
drafted into the Army in 1945 and sent to Okinawa where he was killed in
action in World War II.
